About Us BGC Lawrence Heights Club serves children and youth in the Lawrence Heights and surrounding communities. We provide social, physical, educational, creative, seasonal, and community support programs that foster growth, confidence, and belonging. Location Baycrest Public School 50 Ameer Avenue Position Overview The Site Lead is the primary on-site leader responsible for the overall coordination, supervision, and successful delivery of the Summer Camp program at Baycrest Public School. This role oversees all staff on site, including Senior Camp Mentors, Junior Camp Mentors, Youth Mentors, and Inclusion Support Mentors, ensuring highquality programming, safety, and daily operations. The Site Lead serves as the main point of contact for staff, participants, and families, and is responsible for maintaining a structured, safe, and engaging environment. Reporting Structure Reports directly to the Program Coordinator Supervises all onsite staff Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and daily oversight of the summer camp site Supervise, support, and coach staff to ensure effective program delivery Coordinate daily schedules, staffing coverage, and program flow Act as the primary point of contact for parents/guardians, addressing concerns professionally Ensure participant safety at all times by enforcing policies and procedures Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing guidance and feedback Lead regular staff checkins and be available for daily operational support Assist with staff onboarding, training, and orientation Ensure programming is inclusive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate Act as a floater when required to support staffing ratios (e.g., transitions, swimming trips, coverage) Support behaviour management and assist staff with conflict resolution strategies Respond to and document incidents in accordance with Club policies Maintain accurate administrative records, including attendance, reports, and documentation Ensure all equipment, materials, and supplies are organized and safe Coordinate program materials, snacks, and required resources Maintain health and safety standards, including food handling and program spaces Liaise with school administration and community partners as needed Support program evaluation through reports, surveys, and data collection Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative team environment Perform other duties as assigned Core Competencies & Attributes Accountability and dependability Strong leadership and decisionmaking skills Effective communication and relationship building Risk management and safety awareness Planning, organization, and time management Professionalism and customer service focus Ability to work independently and as part of a team Qualifications Postsecondary education in Human Services, Education, Recreation, Child & Youth Care, Social Services, or a related field Minimum 2 years of experience in program planning and facilitation within a camp, recreation, or community setting Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or leadership role Strong knowledge of child and youth development and behaviour management practices Experience supervising staff, volunteers, or placement students Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills Current Standard First Aid & CPRC (mandatory) Vulnerable Sector Check (required prior to start date) HIGH FIVE: Principles of Healthy Child Development (asset) Contract Details Contract Period: June 22, 2026 August 14, 2026 Mandatory Training: June 22 June 26, 2026 (attendance required) Hours: 3540 hours per week Schedule: Monday to Friday Shifts: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM 5:00 PM Application Deadline April 3, 2026 #J-18808-Ljbffr
