Job Posting Music Director Salary: $3,300 for 7 weeks of camp (inclusive of meals and lodging) during July & August . About Camp Quin-Mo-Lac Camp Quin-Mo-Lac is an overnight camp for children aged 7-14 years old, located on Moira Lake (halfway between Madoc and Tweed, north of Belleville). The camp is situated on over 240 acres of lush forest, fields and 2 kms of beautiful shoreline. The property spans the transition of Ontarios limestone ridges to the Canadian Shield and includes an island that is often used for out-tripping. Our programs include crafts, music, canoeing, high ropes, low ropes, archery, orienteering, initiatives, swimming, rock climbing, chaplains, hiking and out-tripping. Our campers stay for 1 week in either cabins or our lodge with a group of similar-aged peers and 3-4 counsellors. In operation for over 75 years, Quin-Mo-Lac is sponsored by the United Church of Canada. Our mandate is to encourage in a year-round setting, the development of skills for living with others in a community which fosters growth in Christian faith and service. As each child comes to camp, it is intentional that they be part of an active and vital caring community of young people and to do that WE NEED YOU! Our Music Director and other program staff spend camp weeks living onsite and are accommodated in a shared staff cabin with individual bedrooms. Our staff come from all over Ontario (and beyond) and many return year after year. Camp staff are responsible for bringing their own toiletries and linen. Staff join our campers for all meals. Position Summary Reporting to the Assistant Directors and Summer Camp Director, the Music Director is responsible for bringing music program to life at Camp QuinMoLac. They are responsible for planning and leading weekly music sessions with camper groups of all ages and offering music and program support to evening and special event programming. The Music Director works in collaboration with the visiting chaplains to plan vespers and church services throughout the summer.
