Senior Cyber Controls Assurance Analyst Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid 3 days onsite) Duration: 6 months (extension potential) Hours: 9am5pm (may require occasional flexibility for global stakeholders) Overview We are seeking a Senior Cyber Controls Assurance Analyst to support enterprise-wide security control assessments across application and infrastructure environments. This role will act as a subject matter expert, ensuring alignment with internal security standards and supporting secure delivery of technology initiatives. Key Responsibilities Conduct detailed cyber control assessments across applications and infrastructure Participate in security reviews, workshops, and assessment walkthroughs Evaluate logical security controls, identifying risks and remediation opportunities Provide expert guidance to stakeholders on security requirements and best practices Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with internal policies and standards Lead discussions and facilitate decision-making across technical and business groups Support continuous improvement of control assessment processes and frameworks Must-Have Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience in information security, risk, or control assessment Strong background in cybersecurity risk and control frameworks Experience with tools such as RSA Archer (or similar GRC platforms) Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence Solid understanding of application and infrastructure security Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels University degree in IT, Cyber Security, or related field Nice-to-Have Industry certifications (CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CCSP) Knowledge of standards such as ISO 27002, PCI DSS, or SWIFT CSP Experience within financial services or consulting environments Familiarity with audit, compliance, and privacy regulations Note: We use AI tools to: obtain basic information, detect plagiarism, false employment history or references, categorize your skills, and do an initial match with job posting.
