Accounting OperationsManage day-to-day banking and cash management activities.Reconcile bank accounts, loan accounts, and other general ledger accounts.Process month-end and year-end journal entries and closing activities.Prepare and record payroll-related journal entries and reconcile payroll accounts (wages, benefits, and statutory deductions).Maintain and reconcile the Fixed Assets sub-ledger, track capital projects and update continuity schedules.Prepare intercompany reconciliations, identify mismatches, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.Compliance & TaxFile monthly sales tax returns and analyze related accounts.Assist in the preparation of corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation and coordinating responses.Process Improvement & ControlsIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.Streamline accounting functions and operations using financial systems and automation tools.Communicate regularly with banks, credit card service providers, and external auditors.Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.Support finance-related projects and initiatives.5-7 years of experience in full-cycle accounting, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.~ SAP).~ Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation or enrollment in the CPA program is considered an asset.
