This is a hands-on role focused on designing, managing, and optimizing hybrid IT environments across multiple regions. You will join a small, collaborative team of engineers and act as a key escalation point for infrastructure challenges. Working closely with regional IT teams and global stakeholders, you will help ensure systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with evolving business needs in a distributed environment. Your Responsibilities You will design, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure across hybrid environments, including cloud and on-prem systems. You will standardize systems across regions to ensure scalability, reliability, and security. You will act as an escalation point for critical issues and collaborate with global IT teams across multiple time zones. You will monitor system performance and implement optimization, backup, and disaster recovery strategies. You will lead infrastructure projects, manage vendor relationships, and drive adoption of best practices. You will ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards while maintaining detailed technical documentation. Skills and Qualifications 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, including experience supporting multi-region environments Strong expertise in Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V Advanced experience with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell or Python Knowledge of IT governance frameworks such as ITIL, ISO 27001, or NIST Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across distributed teams Preferred Skills Professional certifications (e.g., CSEP, MCSE, VMware, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, ITIL).
