Senior Accountant V Product Control (6-Month Contract) | Hybrid Model Work Model: Hybrid (4 days onsite per week) Location: Downtown Toronto Duration: 6 Months (High potential for extension or permanent placement) Are you an experienced Senior Accounting or Finance professional passionate about financial analytics and process improvement? We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to join a high-performing Product Control / Finance team within a leading financial institution. This is an exceptional opportunity to work closely with cross-functional stakeholders and make a direct impact in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: Conduct detailed balance sheet interpretation and financial analysis relating to banking and capital markets activities Analyze regional P&L statements, business drivers, and support entity structure and revenue transfer reviews Partner with finance and business teams to enhance financial reporting and drive process improvements Contribute to ad-hoc analytics, documentation, and reporting requirements while identifying risks and trends Support tax analysis and ensure strict compliance with internal controls and policies Must-Have Experience: Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (mandatory) 5+ years accounting/finance experience in banking or financial services Solid hands-on experience with balance sheets and regional P&L analysis Expertise in interpreting complex financial data Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Nice-to-Have Qualifications: CPA or CFA designation Capital markets product knowledge Experience with regional tax, entity structures, or revenue transfer analysis Technical proficiency in Excel (macros/VBA) or Python scripting Why Join?
