Role : AWS Data Engineer (API Experience) Location: Remote Job type: 6 Months - High possibility of Extension Pay : CAD $65 /Hour Start date : Immediate Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced AWS Data Engineer with strong Python and API development experience. The ideal candidate will design and build scalable data pipelines and data integration solutions, while also developing and consuming APIs within AWS environments. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS services. Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to enable data access and data exchange across systems. Work with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Glue, and Redshift. Ingest, transform, and process large datasets from multiple sources. Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and application teams. Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are followed. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and API integrations. Required Skills: 57 years of experience in Data Engineering. Strong programming skills in Python . Hands-on experience with AWS services , including: S3, AWS Glue, Lambda API Gateway Redshift / RDS / DynamoDB Experience in building and consuming REST APIs . Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline architecture. Experience with SQL and data modeling concepts. Familiarity with data formats like JSON, Parquet, Avro.
