AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs) are technologists with deep domainspecific expertise, able to address advanced concepts and feature designs. As part of the AWS sales organization, SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expertlevel knowledge to solve. SSAs craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges. This might involve guiding customers as they refactor an application or designing entirely new cloudbased systems. Specialist SAs play a critical role in capturing customer feedback, advocating for roadmap enhancements, and anticipating customer requirements as they work backwards from their needs. As domain experts, SSAs also participate in field engagement and enablement, producing content such as whitepapers, blogs, and workshops for customers, partners, and the AWS Technical Field. GenAI Specialist Solutions Architects combine technical skills in AIML, business acumen, and technical sales skills. They are focused on supporting customers throughout the engagement lifecycle and work closely with the teams that support implementation including AWS Professional Services and Partners. SSAs unblock customers and help them get to production faster. As a Specialist Solution Architect on the GenAI team, you will have the opportunity to work across key GenAIrelated services like Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Kiro, Amazon Sagemaker to develop architecture, proofofconcepts, prototypes, and demos to help customers build, deploy, and consume GenAI models in production. Your work will have a direct impact on enabling customer builds and leveraging GenAI models, GenAI AWS revenue, and developing our services and informing product roadmaps via market and customer signals. Qualifications 7+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience Experience with Machine Learning and Large Language Model fundamentals, including architecture, training/inference lifecycles, and optimization of model execution 4+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage experience Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients; experience working with end user or developer communities Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering) Bachelor''''s degree or above in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), or experience in defining and creating benchmarks for assessing GenAI model performance Experience operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets Proficient with prompt engineering, function calling, agentic workflows, embedding model fine tuning and retrieval method evaluation and optimization approaches Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. As a total compensation company, Amazon''''s package may include other elements such as signon payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
