Our Values Trust Responsibility Excellence Navigating Change Candor Humility Overview The Facility and Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating various aspects of construction projects, renovations, and mechanical maintenance within the facilities. Key responsibilities include ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards, while also maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders and contractors. In addition, to managing projects, the Facility and Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for building maintenance through Service Providers. The successful candidate will take ownership of the building and grounds to ensure adequate condition following all safety, fire and building code regulations to allow for production processes to progress without delays. Your Tasks: Develop project scope, timelines, and budgets, and manage project execution from initiation to closure. Oversee project budgets, track expenses, and ensure projects stay within allocated funds. Work with various teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and internal staff, to ensure seamless project execution. Negotiate contracts, manage contractor performance, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Ensure Service Providers are maintaining the building and equipment according to the contracts and scope of work. Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, prepare status reports, and manage documentation related to project progress. Keep track of all reports from Service Providers for reporting to Landlord and regulatory bodies. Perform hands-on work as needed to complete small projects, including drywall repair, patching and painting, plumbing repairs, furniture relocations and repairs, small installations, and general labor tasks. Creating and/or modifying scope of works as needed to cover any changes in services required by the management team and/or Landlord/ regulatory bodies. Ensure project quality, conduct inspections and identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that could impact project timelines or budget. Evaluate project performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices. Requirements: Bachelor''''s degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field, along with relevant experience in project management. A Project Management Professional (PMP) designation may be considered an asset. Experience with installations and maintenance of production equipment may be considered an asset. Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices. Knowledge of construction methods, building codes, mechanical practices, PSHR, TSSA, ESA and other relevant regulations. Knowledge of project budgeting and financial management principles. Ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders and build strong relationships. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions. Ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner. Ability to lead and motivate project teams. Proficient with project management software and other relevant tools. The expected compensation range for this position is CAD $60000 - $100000 / Annually. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on several jobrelated factors, including relevant education, depth and breadth of experience, professional certifications or license, specialized skills aligned with the role, and internal equity considerations.
