HCR Permanent Search is working with a large scale environmental services company , Our client is hiring Lead Operators to support a 24/7 control room operation in a wastewater / process driven plant environment . This is a hands on, screen based operating role focused on monitoring, controlling, and responding to plant processes in real time. Hamilton, ON Responsibilities: Monitor and control plant operations in real time from a centralized control room environment. Analyze multiple system screens and respond to process alarms, deviations, and operational issues. Ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operation of wastewater/process systems. Troubleshoot process upsets and implement corrective actions to maintain plant performance. Coordinate with field operators and maintenance teams to resolve operational issues. Maintain accurate logs, reports, and operational documentation. Adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards at all times. Support a 24/7 operation through continental shift rotation, including overtime and call-ins. Requirements: TSSA Power Engineer Certification (4th Class minimum; 3rd Class preferred). 2+ years of experience in control room or process operations within industrial environments. Experience in industries such as oil & gas, utilities (hydro/gas), chemical processing, wastewater, or power generation. Strong understanding of process control systems and real-time plant operations. Ability to analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and make sound operational decisions under pressure. Comfortable working in a screen-based, fast-paced control room environment. Strong communication and coordination skills to work with cross-functional teams.
