While inventory planning has historically been shared across multiple teams, we are now hiring a dedicated owner to stabilize processes, improve accuracy, and prepare our ERP and data foundation for automation and predictive planning. You will act as both a hands-on operator and a systems thinker, owning day-to-day inventory execution while building the structure required for scalable, just-in-time manufacturing. What Print Geek Has to Offer You Competitive Salary: CAD $60,000 $75,000 Performance-Based Bonus tied to inventory KPIs Comprehensive Health & Dental Benefits 3 Weeks Paid Vacation Growth-oriented, founder-led company with strong coaching culture Onsite Free Parking Key Responsibilities Build & Scale Inventory Infrastructure: Own end-to-end inventory and procurement planning across blanks, consumables, and finished goods Act as the single point of accountability for inventory availability, accuracy, and valuation Serve as the functional owner for Odoo Inventory, Purchase, and Manufacturing modules Segment SKUs using an 80/20 approach, focusing rigor on high-velocity, high-impact items Design and enforce reorder points, safety stock, and lead-time buffers Eliminate Excel as a system of record and centralize planning and execution in Odoo Support Operations & Financial Outcomes: Translate production requirements into actionable inventory and procurement plans Proactively manage substitutions and supply constraints during peak and special programs Partner with Finance on AVCO integrity, landed cost accuracy, and margin analysis Improve working capital, cash flow predictability, and service continuity Enable Automation & Predictive Readiness: Prepare clean, structured inventory and usage data to support rule-based and predictive automation Partner with IT and Development teams to implement automation, alerts, and exception-based workflows Transition ordering from manual decision-making to system-driven logic for core SKUs What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days) Inventory ownership and accountability are clearly established Reliable visibility into inventory health, high-movers, and at-risk SKUs Rule-based ordering live in Odoo for core, high-volume products Reduced emergency purchasing, fewer stockouts, and improved service levels Finance and Operations no longer required to intervene in day-to-day inventory planning Performance-Based Bonus Metrics Annual performance bonus eligibility tied to measurable outcomes, including: Inventory Turns improvement Reduction in Days of Supply (DOS) on high-volume SKUs Stockout reduction during peak periods Working capital and cash flow improvements Reduction in expedited purchasing and margin leakage What Were Looking For 4+ years of experience in inventory, procurement, or supply chain analytics Hands-on ERP experience (Odoo preferred; NetSuite, SAP, or Dynamics acceptable) Strong understanding of inventory costing methodologies and demand planning Advanced Excel skills; BI or analytics tools are an asset Comfortable operating cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, and IT Detail-oriented, systems-minded, and process-driven with strong ownership mindset Please note that candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada for any employer, as we are unable to provide work permit sponsorship or relocation assistance for this position.
