Responsibilities: Validate master data pertaining to all new hires, changes, terminations, transfers etc. into ADP. Work closely with HR department on all employee payroll related issues Capture Time entry, create batches and import into ADP. Prepare, calculate and process payroll, deductions, retro pay, pay adjustments, terminations, ROEs, travel allowances etc. and create adjustment batches as required. Enter all adjustments, retro pay calculations, etc. for employees. Audit, Validate and balance the preview register for primary assigned pay group and crosscheck other pay groups as assigned by Manager. Run and distribute pay period and monthly reports, as required or as assigned by Manager. Prepare Union and other reporting along with payment requisition as required. Follow stringently, payroll processes and maintain proper audit trail for all elements of each pay run. Prepare regular and ad-hoc reporting as required. Respond to payroll queries from Employees, only on pay calculation related, recognizing queries of HR nature and forwarding accordingly Maintain the highest level of confidentiality in all interactions. Prepare and maintain documentation on payroll processes, procedures, and checklists. Regularly coach and maintain good work relations with assigned backup team member and other members of payroll team. Prepare year end reconciliation, adjustment and checks for assigned pay group. Be fully responsible for your assigned area as well as backup for other areas within payroll. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications: 5 years experience in payroll in similar industry preferred Knowledge of ADP preferred Ability to communicate in French would be an asset PCP Designation preferred Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel In-depth knowledge of Employment Standards in all Canadian Provinces and Territories including a working knowledge of Multi-Jurisdictional issues
