Apply today and join the company that is Leading with Science. Your Role: We are currently seeking an Intermediate Project Manager for our Pickering, ON office. This posting is for an existing vacancy for which we are actively recruiting. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Responsibilities: Work with a team of skilled engineers, designers, procurement and construction specialists, contractors, vendors and other project support staff/stakeholders. Manage nuclear related projects. Manage staff and subcontractors to ensure cost effective, safe and timely completion of projects to meet or exceed client expectations Develop, track and maintain project schedules and budgets Identify and manage project risks Manage change control of Projects Authorize commitments of expenditure on the project and approve payment of invoices Provide leadership to the Project Team Prime interface with client and other shareholders Client delivery responsibility and establishing requirements as per procurement procedure Responsible for procurement RFPs and Bid Evaluations Qualifications: A university degree in engineering or technical degree/diploma is preferred. Other professional qualifications will be considered with relevant experience 8+ years of working experience as a Project Manager on nuclear/power related projects is considered an asset. Working experience in principles and practices of nuclear engineering as applied to design and construction of projects is preferred. Experience with industry related scheduling systems (MS Project, Primavera). Experienced in the use of MS Office suite including Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Demonstrated experience in developing project execution plans and budgets. Has experience in the preparation of proposals for clients. Must be eligible to obtain security clearance Effective communication, organization and presentation skills Nuclear experience is considered an asset Compensation: The expected annual compensation range for this position is $130,000 - $165,000 . Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining compensation, including but not limited to education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business. Additional Information A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada. (A copy of a valid work permit may be required.) If you are considered for the position, clearance on all applicable background checks (which may include criminal, identity, educational and security) and professional reference checks are required. Some Tetra Tech positions require an enhanced level of background assessment, which is dictated by law. These positions require advanced criminal record checks that must also be conducted from time to time after commencement of employment.
