As a Senior Structural Engineer with Power Generation experience , youll join a powerhouse group of innovators, problemsolvers, and worldbuilders who thrive on tackling complex challenges across renewable energy, power generation, and energymodernization projects. Here, your expertise wont just support projects it will energize entire systems and play a key role in building resilient, futureready solutions that advance our clients missions and strengthen the communities we serve. This position can be located in any of our Canadian offices, with preference for our Alberta and British Columbia locations. Your Impact Youll establish design criteria, prepare engineering specifications, design calculations, material takeoffs (MTO) in accordance with project requirements. Youll support the planning, scheduling, cost control activities in the design as related to the Project Plan. Youll propose solutions for improving or optimizing processes, programs, and procedures. Assist in resolving complex problems requiring a comprehensive and detailed analysis and multidisciplinary understanding. Youll contribute to knowledge transfer by providing functional guidance, coaching and peer review to the teams less experienced professionals or to technicians. Youll participate in the planning and implementation of large and complex projects requiring innovative solutions. Youll conduct onsite inspections as required. Youll detail civil and structural designs, which include concrete foundations, piling, steel structures, etc. Youll prepare documentation for engineering hours budgets, schedules, work plans, tender documents, technical reports, project calculations, etc. Youll assign, give instructions and provide directions to technical support staff. Youll establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and team members. Youll ensure the quality assurance, consistency, and integrity of the electronic handover of deliverables. Youll be responsible for reviewing and stamping drawings as required; using experience in interpreting design codes and regulatory requirements. Youll check work of and assist in the training of less experienced engineering personnel. Youll communicate with internal peers and project team and may be required to answer questions regarding deliverables. The Skills That Set You Apart A university degree in Structural Engineering. Registered P.ENG in province of residence. At least 10years+ experience in the engineering of civil structural designs with experience in Power Generation projects. Working knowledge of software like SAP 2000, ETABS, SFrame, STAAD Pro, Dyna6, etc. Familiarity with relevant design codes for piling, concrete and steel structures, and also current industrial standards. Compensation AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $135,200 $179,100 MB & ON: $123,300 $169,800 NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $114,900 $154,800 Disclosure: The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
