Learn more at vecima.com. Position Summary The Trade Compliance Analyst supports the efficient, compliant movement of goods across domestic and international markets. As part of the Supply Chain team, this role ensures import/export compliance, accurate documentation, and timely shipment coordination. The position also provides order processing support and collaborates closely with Sales, Shipping, and Operations to ensure accurate order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. Duties - Ensure 100% compliance with applicable import/export regulations by maintaining accurate documentation and monitoring regulatory updates. - Classify products using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) across multiple jurisdictions and maintain up-to-date tariff databases. - Prepare, review, and submit customs documentation, entry amendments, and duty drawback claims accurately and within required timelines. - Coordinate with customs brokers, freight carriers, and regulatory agencies to resolve shipment issues and respond promptly to information requests. - Maintain and audit trade compliance records, including Certificates of Origin (e.g., USMCA), COO documentation, and HTS classifications. - Verify and approve freight, brokerage, duty, and tax invoices to ensure accuracy and cost control. - Conduct periodic internal audits of shipping and customs processes; recommend and implement corrective actions as needed. - Partner cross-functionally to ensure new products are properly set up in ERP systems with compliant trade data. - Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to meet delivery timelines and optimize transportation costs. - Provide responsive support to internal stakeholders and customers to resolve order or shipment inquiries. Qualifications - Diploma or bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience. - 24 years of experience in customs compliance, logistics, or international trade. - Working knowledge of import/export regulations, tariff classification (HTS), and trade agreements (e.g., USMCA). - Experience working with customs brokers and freight carriers. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and ERP systems; experience with shipping platforms (e.g., FedEx, UPS) is an asset. - Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation or willingness to obtain is preferred.
