Project ManagerLocation: Remote, Canada Empire life is looking to hire a Project Manager to join our team!The Project Manager is responsible for proactively managing the initiation, planning, analysis, design, execution, implementation and close-out of specific projects in support of business objectives. The incumbent is guided by defined goals and objectives, and works under minimal supervision of their manager.The total target compensation (TTC) range, including salary and target bonus, is $95,920 - $144,970. We encourage creative and innovative thinking and welcome candidates who are not afraid to challenge the status quo.What youll be working onFacilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables that support desired business objectives, in collaboration with senior management and stakeholdersDefine project tasks and resource requirementsWork closely with resource managers in IT and other business units to acquire necessary project resources and assign specific tasks and responsibilities to project team membersProvide direction, coaching and support to project teamCreate and manage project budget; track and report project expenses on a regular basisSchedule and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate toolsDevelop project plans and other communications documentsMonitor and report on the progress of the project to all stakeholders on a regular basisIdentify project issues and deal with those that can be resolved within the project team; for larger, more complex issues, escalate to key project stakeholders in a timely fashionIdentify and manage project dependencies and critical pathProactively identify and manage project risks and mitigation strategies to minimize risk exposureAppropriately apply project management methodology, processes and standardsEffectively manage any changes to project scope, budget or timelines following change control guidelinesDefine project success criteria and continually manage project expectations with stakeholders and team membersConduct post-implementation project reviews to identify successful and unsuccessful project elementsWhat were looking for you to haveAdvanced expertise in championing, leading and managing large, complex, business transformation projects and/or IT projects usually a result of a minimum of 5 years of progressive project management experienceKnowledge and expertise of Project Management methodologies and development practices (i.e. agile, scrum, waterfall) and tools such as Smartsheets, JIRA and ConfluenceConversant in different platforms, architectures, languages and modern development toolkitsProven track record of developing and leading dynamic, high performing teams along with a proven ability to drive and influence change through innovation and process improvementSubstantial experience building, developing and growing relationships, at all levels of the organizationDemonstrated experience leading discussions and working effectively with senior leadersSelf motivated with resilience to work independently including managing priorities and setting and guiding plansPrevious consulting experience and/or proven engagement skills, to actively listen and understand stakeholders needs and collaborate to bring clarity to the definition of those needsPresentation skillsStrong negotiation and influencing skills, applied at all levels of the organizationA University degree or college diploma in Business, Technology or another related field or equivalent experienceProject Management Professional (PMP) designation is an assetIf you are applying for a position which is open to applicants across Canada, unless otherwise indicated in the position, language proficiency in English is required for communicating with customers, advisors, or employees across Canada.Our hiring process includes AI screening for keywords and minimum qualifications.
