This role plays a critical part in driving workforce strategy, employee engagement, and compliance while supporting daytoday HR needs across a dynamic manufacturing environment. The HR Manager leads key people initiatives that enable operational excellence, continuous improvement, and organizational growth, including supporting change initiatives and integrating newly acquired businesses in alignment with company values and culture. What Youll Do Serve as a trusted HR business partner to plant and operations leadership, supporting performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement. Lead and oversee HR activities across multiple manufacturing locations, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial labor laws. Drive workforce planning, staffing, employee relations, performance management, and talent development for both salaried and hourly teams. Support organizational change initiatives, including Lean efforts, continuous improvement, and acquisition integrations, with strong changemanagement practices. Coach and develop site leadership and frontline supervisors, providing guidance on peoplerelated decisions and longterm staffing strategies. Analyze HR metrics and workforce data to identify trends, root causes, and actionable improvement plans. Lead succession planning, turnover management, training, and leadership development initiatives to build a strong internal pipeline. Manage and develop HR team members, including HR Generalist and Recruitment/Special Projects roles. What Will Make You Successful The ability to balance strategic thinking with handson execution in a manufacturing environment. Strong business acumen and a clear understanding of how HR initiatives drive operational and organizational success. Confidence partnering with leaders at all levels and influencing outcomes through collaboration and trust. Comfort navigating change, ambiguity, and integration activities in growing or evolving organizations. A datadriven mindset with the ability to translate workforce insights into practical solutions. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a multishift manufacturing environment, including leadership of HR staff. Authorization to work in both Canada and the United States to support collaboration across our Toronto and New York office. Broad, wellrounded HR knowledge across employee relations, staffing, compensation, benefits, compliance, and workforce management. Strong knowledge of Ontario Labour Standards; familiarity with U.S. federal employment laws is a plus. Proficiency with HRIS platforms (such as SuccessFactors) and Microsoft Office tools.
