Contract AdministratorToronto, ON (East End) A Toronto-based architecture firm in the citys east end is seeking a Contract Administrator to support the delivery of institutional and commercial projects, with a particular focus on education and healthcare facilities. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative studio environment where team members work closely together to deliver thoughtful, technically strong projects that support community infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role during the construction phase, acting as a liaison between the design team, consultants, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contract documents, design intent, and applicable standards. Key Responsibilities Administer construction contracts for multiple projects, primarily within the education and healthcare sectors Conduct regular site visits and prepare field reports Review and respond to RFIs, shop drawings, and submittals Evaluate change orders, supplemental instructions, and payment applications Coordinate with project architects, consultants, and contractors to resolve site issues Ensure construction aligns with contract documents, specifications, and design intent Support project teams with documentation and coordination during constructionContribute to a collaborative studio environment, assisting colleagues and the broader team as needed Qualifications Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related discipline 5-10+ years of experience in contract administration or construction phase services within architecture Experience working on education, institutional, commercial, or healthcare projects Strong understanding of construction documentation, building assemblies, and contract administration processes Familiarity with Ontario building codes and construction practices Strong communication and coordination skills with consultants and contractors Ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively to a team-oriented office culture What the Firm Offers Opportunity to work on meaningful institutional projects that serve the community A supportive and collaborative team environment Exposure to a diverse range of education and healthcare work Long-term growth within a stable and respected architecture practice Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply confidentially.
