Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Principal AI Engineer to define and drive the technical vision for agentic AI across multiple applications. This role is critical in establishing organization-wide standards and delivering scalable, production-ready AI solutions.You will work closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to design, implement, and optimize AI systems that deliver measurable business impact.This role is 100% remote in Canada.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine the technical vision and reference architecture for agentic AI, including reasoning loops, tool use/function calling, memory, safety, and interoperabilityBuild and govern reusable platform components such as model brokers, multi-model routing, orchestration services, evaluation frameworks, prompt/versioning systems, and telemetryDevelop and refine advanced prompting strategies for LLMsTest, evaluate, and analyze the performance of LLM and GenAI modelsDrive cross-functional roadmaps, API standards, and integration best practicesEstablish offline and online evaluation methodologies for agent performance and safety, aligned with business outcomesAct as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for AI across internal teams, leadership, and stakeholdersIdentify, prioritize, and execute AI use cases with clear business valueMentor engineers, lead knowledge-sharing sessions, perform peer reviews, and improve overall technical qualityCollaborate with vendors and ensure alignment with best practices and delivery milestonesRequired QualificationsProven experience delivering agentic AI solutions at scale across multiple productsStrong expertise in the Microsoft AI ecosystem (Foundry, Copilot Studio, AI Search, OpenAI, RAG)Strong experience with Anthropic platforms (Claude Cowork and Claude Code)Advanced proficiency in Python and Java within production environments (testing, packaging, performance optimization)Hands-on experience with agent frameworks such as LangChain, Anthropic frameworks, and FoundryStrong expertise in RAG and agent data pipelines, including document preprocessing (OCR/NER), chunking strategies, embeddings, vector stores, and data quality/versioningExperience with model serving, multi-model routing, and cost/performance optimizationSolid understanding of AI adoption and scaling within SaaS environmentsNice to HaveFamiliarity with Salesforce Agentforce and Boomi Agentic AI platform Expected Compensation Range:110K-150K The final compensation offered will be determined based on the candidates level of experience, skills, and qualifications, in compliance with applicable pay transparency requirements. Canadian Experience Requirement:No Canadian work experience is required for this position.
