Responsibilities The Senior Credit Solutions Manager (Sr. CSM) is responsible for contributing to the profitable growth and quality of the Banks Corporate and Commercial Credit portfolio by performing financial solutions-related activities for clients including risk analysis, deal structuring, pricing, negotiation and presentation on complex deals in concert with the Senior Client Relationship Manager. Ensure timely analysis, structure and presentation of credit / financial solutions proposals within prescribed segments. Provide prompt and sound recommendations in the analysis and adjudication of credit proposals. Ensure that writings to the Senior Client Relationship Manager(s) clearly convey the rationale for decisions, so that they may respond effectively to clients. Approve or recommend pricing for loans and credit-related fees which yield a return commensurate with risk and due regard to profit, administration and competitive considerations. Recommend alternative terms, conditions and covenants to provide a viable banking proposal to the client within sound credit lending practices. Responsible for restructuring marginal proposals into bankable deals where possible. Provide guidance, coaching and counsel to Client Relationship Manager(s), so that they may better serve clients needs. Liaise with Client Portfolio Management for compliance monitoring and reporting actions as required. Be responsible for ensuring ongoing quality of the assigned credit portfolio through control and administration of the specific conditions and reporting requirements as specified in individual authorizations are adhered. Maintain a high level of customer service; prompt and timely responses to credit applications are required. Qualifications and Skills Experience in ensuring accurate communication of the terms and conditions of an authorization and have supervised the effective and timely implementation. Proven writing or reviewing all written authorizations to ensure accuracy, completeness and clarity. Experience in promptly and effectively addressing issues surrounding the adequacy, quality and completeness of loan documentation and security. Understand how the Banks risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. Minimum three years of Commercial Banking experience. Strong knowledge of the corporate and commercial banking marketplace. Detailed knowledge of the assigned market areas key prospects, major companies and competitive positioning within the assigned market area. Strong understanding of the Corporate and Commercial Banks objectives, strategies, structure, as well as its lending and deposit products and services. Strong PC skills including a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point and all commercial systems and platforms. Strong credit skills and credit experience; proven risk assessment and analysis skills as well as deal structuring skills. Understanding of customer profitability model. Proven experience in building a solid business case justification for deals. Strong negotiation skills, and sales/closing capabilities. Whats in it for you? Execute the Branch Compliance responsibilities as reflected in the Branch Services and Procedures Manual. You will build a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates the team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vision/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.
