We are looking for a Training Coordinator to provide administrative and technical support to the delivery of a broad range of training and development services to Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) employees and contract staff. Executing professional work focused on achieving immediate to short-term results, including: Company-wide scheduling of courses which are part of the corporate catalogue, External and specialized training courses and programs, CNL facility-specific training. Interacting within a team and/or with internal clients to action training registrations/cancellations, respond to written and verbal training enquiries in a professional and timely manner. Has limited external interactions to support the procurement of vendor training. Working with the Training Consultants to help design or modify programs and curriculum to ensure department goals are met. Manages the training program matrices in a fashion which keeps the programs on schedule and within budget constraints. Working with the Training Consultants to ensure examinations are managed in such a way as to be current and allow for fair assessment of individual department members. Maintaining records of course completion and learner attendance in the Learning Management System (LMS). Filing of hard copy records and uploading records to CNL's Electronic Documents and Records Management System (ATOM). Coordinating, monitoring and reporting on training activities to ensure individual/facility/program compliance with the training plan curriculum requirements and licence conditions. Developing training reports and documents for all department personnel, as required. Assisting the Training Consultants in documenting all training deliverables and outcomes. Other duties as assigned by the manager. What We Are Looking For Education Postsecondary education, preferably in a human resources, administrative, or businessrelated field. Experience 57 years of related experience, preferably working in a training environment, would be an asset. Experience with Learning Management Systems; familiarity with virtual classroom and with multimedia and web design technologies. Experience in using ITSM (IT Service Management software applications is considered an asset. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Accountable, with the ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and respond promptly to changing demands and scheduling requirements in both office and remote work settings. Strong project management skills, including planning, coordinating, organizing, leading, directing, and facilitating activities. Selfmotivated, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Demonstrated customer service skills, with a customer first attitude and a commitment to delivering highquality service, timely responses, courteous interactions, and thorough followup. Ability to support the analysis of training needs and contribute to the design of learning objectives and course materials. Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences in both oneonone and group/classroom settings. Innovative and resourceful, with strong critical thinking and problemsolving abilities. Proven capability to perform effectively under pressure in an unstructured or fastchanging environment. Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly. Skilled in coordinating and facilitating activities through online collaboration and virtual training platforms. Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Explorer, and Access. Strong attention to detail, including conducting selfchecks and verification steps to ensure accuracy of LMS data and customer reports. Knowledge of CNLs Procurement Process for acquiring external training services. Knowledge of CNL policies and procedures related to training, including procurement document control, information protection, and the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT). Strong knowledge base of online and virtual curricular platforms for both students and adults. Comprehensive knowledge of current adult learning theories, principles, program design strategies, technologies, trends and best practices applicable to both online and instructorled learning programs. Familiarity with various learning delivery models, including online, blended, and classroom; knowledge of the theories and practices of elearning and the implementation of synchronous learning environments. Security clearance eligibility required Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United States and/or the United Kingdom. Working Conditions Work Schedule: We have a compressed work week: Four (4) days per week, ten (10) hours per day for a forty (40) hour work week, starting at 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Long periods of sitting, long periods of screen time, and lifting boxes of course materials. Must have the ability to flex working hours to accommodate the need to work early or work late, depending on training activities and their start/end time. Why CNL?
