Job Overview Sales Manager, Used Trucks March 18, 2026 Department: Sales Location: Winnipeg, MB Job Type: Full Time Maxim Truck and Trailer1860 Brookside Blvd, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2E6 As the Used Truck Sales Manager, you will play a key role in the Maxim family. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Used Truck division including sales, marketing, appraisals, tradeins, and reconditioning. The position is accountable to ensure we meet or exceed customer expectations, sales/profit/growth budgets, and inventory turns. Responsibilities Oversees and approves retail sales, sells wholesale units, and manages the purchasing of all used trucks including offlease and rental units. Maintain appropriate levels of used trucks at all the Maxim branches. Monitors CRM system for Account Managers updates, creates tradein and resale values for Account Managers on physical appraisals, completes pretrade inspections, and decides if the unit will be retail/wholesale/auction. Ensures all used trucks are prepped for resale. Promotes sale of used trucks and collects market trend information by monitoring auctions/pricing, maintaining relationships with industry contacts, coordinating advertising, and organizing contest promotions for Account Managers. Moves trucks between branches by determining which units to sell where and the most cost/time effective way for transporting. Provides used truck sales support for all Account Managers selling used trucks by assisting with sales contract details, making sales joint calls, sourcing specialized trucks, and responding to customer complaints. Performs related duties such as: Monitoring the appearance of the sales lineups at all locations. Attend and participate in monthly sales webinars. Attends trade shows. Provides advertising updates. Prepares units for quarterly Maxim flyer and reviews. Assists in formulating the annual business plan, budgets and productivity measures. What You Need To Succeed In This Role Please Note: A variety of experience and skills will be considered when selecting candidates. Minimum 5 years in heavyduty truck sales for product familiarity. Prior management experience (e.g., creating budgets, developing standards, etc.). Drivers License Class 3 required (or to be obtained in 2026). Organized, sets priorities, meets deadlines. Negotiates well and builds relationships with coworkers and customers. Ability to communicate effectively with varying levels of people. Proficient with computers MS Word/Excel, email, internet, keyboarding. Ability to work with interruptions. Ability to work in CRM system (SYNNRG). Mechanical aptitude an asset.
