As our Project Manager, youll lead capital projects from early concept through to final completion, ensuring theyre delivered safely, successfully, and to a high standard. Youll coordinate and foster collaboration across internal teams and external partners, making sure project requirements are met by applying strong fundamentals in scope, budget, schedule, and risk management. From planning and permitting to construction oversight and closeout, youll keep projects moving smoothly while building alignment across engineers, contractors, and community partners. In year 1, you will: Build a solid understanding of the Companys internal processes, standards, policies, and procedures Put your expertise and knowledge to work on projects Champion and promote the importance of safety Establish and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders Schedule and organize resources appropriately Learn Fortis PM tools and standards In year 2, you will: Build on your knowledge gained during a project cycle Identify, promote and implement continuous enhancements in PMO business practices Foster effective teams Continue to build and leverage relationships with all stakeholders What it takes: Bachelors Degree in a related discipline from a recognized program plus 4-7 years project management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is considered an asset willingness and ability to obtain designation required.
