430 Sherman Ave N, Hamilton, ON L8L 8J6, Canada Job Description Posted Friday, March 27, 2026 at 4:00 AM ON BEHALF OF NUCOR INSULATED PANEL GROUP The Shipping & Logistics Supervisor is responsible for leading and developing a team across shipping, receiving, trim parts production, and yard operations to ensure materials and finished goods flow safely, accurately, and efficiently through the facility. This role owns end-to-end logistics coordination, including inbound and outbound shipments, carrier management, imports/exports, and internal material flow. The successful candidate will be a handson leader who drives performance through people, establishes clear expectations, and ensures consistent execution across all areas of responsibility. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a team across shipping, receiving, yard, and trim operations Build and reinforce a strong safety culture by leading safe work practices and addressing risks immediately Drive daily execution to meet shipping schedules, production demands, and customer requirements Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments, including imports, exports, and carrier scheduling Oversee trim parts production to ensure materials meet specifications and timelines Manage yard operations, including material flow, staging, and inventory accuracy Establish structure and accountability within the team through clear expectations, prioritization, and followthrough Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce waste Partner crossfunctionally with production, sales, and operations to ensure alignment and execution Maintain strong relationships with carriers and ensure compliance with shipping and export requirements Utilize ERP systems (D365 preferred) to manage workflows, track shipments, and support operational visibility Culture & Leadership Expectations Leading with honesty, respect, and direct communication Developing teammates through coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities Creating an environment where teammates take ownership of safety, quality, and results Driving continuous improvement and operational excellence Safety is the most important part of all jobs at Nucor. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to lead, enforce, and continuously improve safety policies, practices, and housekeeping standards. 2-3 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment 35 years of shipping/logistics experience, including imports and exports Proven ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and manage performance Strong understanding of ERP systems and shipping workflows Knowledge of safe materialhandling practices Ability to work in a fastpaced, customerfocused environment with competing priorities Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree in business, supply chain, or related field Experience in steel, construction products, or heavy industrial manufacturing Experience with lean practices, 5S, and continuous improvement Experience managing carrier relationships, export documentation, and compliance What Success Looks Like A safe, engaged, and accountable team that consistently meets performance expectations Ontime, accurate shipments with strong coordination across departments Improved efficiency and organization across shipping, yard, and trim operations Clear structure, communication, and ownership within the team Base Salary: $82,000 $102,000 annually Compensation is based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
