Some overtime may be required.**Employee Type:**Full time**Location:**ON Stoney Creek**Job Type:**Production Group**Job Posting Title:**Operating Engineer**Job Description:****Schedule:** 8 hour shifts + occasional overtime Monday to Friday shifts + occasional weekends rotating days & afternoons (some nights)**Work Location:**944 Highway 8, Stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada## **Salary, based on experience and other qualifications: $49.12 per hour****Benefits:** Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement Plan with match, Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), Life Insurance, Employee Assistance Program (EAP)**Roles & Responsibilities:*** Safely operate steam boilers, compressors and ancillary equipment* Proactively plan and schedule contract maintenance on utility equipment.* Perform preventive and emergency maintenance on steam and utility system components.* Collaborate with maintenance and manufacturing teams to ensure all utility and processing equipment is operating at peak efficiency.* Log daily work effort and failure causes for prompt corrective measures to be taken.* Maintain powerhouse equipment records as required for a food processing facility.* Ongoing training on new equipment and maintenance practices is a requirement.*The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list of all tasks.
