Intermediate Landscape Architectural Technologist (Edmonton) As an Intermediate Landscape Architectural Technologist based in Edmonton, youll join a collaborative team advancing thoughtful, resilient, socially conscious landscapes across Canada. Youll support a diverse portfoliofrom urban revitalization and park planning to complete streets, plazas, trails, transit environments, institutional sites, commercial developments, and ecologically grounded designswhile growing your skills with mentorship from experienced intermediate and senior practitioners. Your Impact Collaborate closely with intermediate and senior Landscape Architects, Designers, and Technologists on multidisciplinary projects. Assist in producing landscape design packages, including detailed design, cost estimating, contract documents, tender support, and construction-phase services. Prepare base plans, conceptual designs, technical drawings, and specifications. Develop planting plans, layouts, and related technical content. Create compelling visualizations, illustrations, and graphic materials. Engage in integrated project delivery with teams across planning, engineering, ecology, and design. Contribute to studio initiatives, culture-building activities, and learning opportunities. The Skills That Set You Apart A Diploma in Landscape Architectural Technology or related education. 35+ years of professional experience in a landscape architecture environment. Proficiency with AutoCAD for production work; understanding of construction assemblies, material specifications, and cost estimating. Experience with Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and standard design tools. Strong understanding of detailed design and technical drawing packages. Early exposure to contract administration and construction field review is preferred; site experience is an asset. Organized, curious, collaborative, and comfortable working independently or as part of a project team. A valid drivers license for site visits and client meetings. Strong assets AALA membership or eligibility Alberta project experience CA experience across public/institutional sectors Spec preparation experience Proficiency with MicroStation, Civil3D, SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, GIS, ISA certification, and French language abilities.
