Bronswerk manages the entire process of the system life cycle; from design to commissioning, installation and in-service support.What will be your role?Reporting to the InService Support Manager, the Lead Commissioning and Automation Technician will work closely with the Project Manager to commission (using PLCbased control and HMI), troubleshoot, repair, and program control systems for Marine HVAC for Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) systems installed in large marine vessels.The incumbent will play an important role as part of the team to act as company expert in commissioning which includes set to work, HAT, SAT, troubleshooting, repairing and programming control systems on vessels.Project ExecutionPrimary point of contact (POC) for all commissioning matters (internally and externally) with the support of the Project Manager.Coordinate resources for commissioning and act as a working lead of a team of system experts trained and certified in commissioning.Works closely with other expert teams such as Refrigeration and/or HVAC project teams to startup various HVACR systems.Manage schedule for trials and commissioning coordinating with the client to meet targets.Provides input to the project manager on forecast of schedule for commissioning.Participate in workinprogress meetings providing updates on commissioning schedule, systems failures and other arisings.Responsible for electrical checks and endtoend testing prior to startup, downloading programming, set to work (STW), commissioning, and servicing on assigned projects.Take part in Harbor Acceptance Trials (HAT) and Sea Acceptance Trials (SAT).Troubleshoot and adjust PLC programming to comply with the approved control philosophy (sequence of operation).Red line drawings and submit to the Automation & Controls Team.Work with the project team for any asbuilt updates to drawings and control philosophies.Manage, organize and submit commissioning documentation.Continually enforce safety to the highest standards and maintain security and accountability of companyissued and procured assets by recording use, wear, and conditions.Which candidate profile are we looking for?5 years+ of experience in HVAC/Controls; or equivalent combination of education (Technical School)Industrial Electrician or other equivalent Electrical trade (or equivalent experience)Experience with various PLC, Industrial controls systems, and HMIs; Siemens experience (an asset)Familiar or have a strong interest in HVAC Systems (Fans, pumps, AHUs, Chillers & Refrigeration systems)Experience in drawing panel layouts in AutoCAD Electric (or other software) an assetExcellent English oral and written communication skillsRed seal or registered apprentice an asset.Presence onsite during all office hours.
