Position Description Tetranex is seeking an experienced full-time Senior Civil/Structural Designer. Responsibilities Develop and update 2D drawings and 3D models for foundations, structural steel, pipe racks, and equipment supports using AutoCAD and related tools. Prepare and check construction deliverables such as pile layouts, foundation and framing plans, sections, and connection details to ensure accuracy and compliance with codes, standards, and client specifications. Incorporate design revisions, engineering markups, and feedback throughout all project phases to maintain current and accurate design packages. Generate and maintain bills of materials, material take-offs, and drawing documentation to support procurement, fabrication, and construction. Lead design and model reviews and coordinate with drafting leads to ensure consistency, constructability, and quality across all deliverables. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop coordinated civil and structural designs for oil and gas facilities in line with project scope, schedule, and budget. Requirements Civil or Structural Engineering Technology diploma with 10-15 years of civil/structural design experience in the oil and gas or heavy industrial sector. Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with 3D modeling tools such as Civil 3D, Advance Steel and CADWorx. Solid understanding of structural steel and concrete detailing, including foundations, piles, and equipment supports, and working knowledge of relevant codes and standards. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and vendor data and produce accurate design deliverables such as BOMs and material take-offs. Experience in EPC/EPCM environments considered an asset. Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, ability to work collaboratively and manage deadlines with minimal supervision.
