Fundraising Manager Salary: $75,000/Annually Our client, is a highly respected, mission-driven organization and a recognized leader in food security, community building, and social justice. The Opportunity We are partnering with our client to recruit an experienced Fundraising Manager to play a pivotal leadership role within its Development & Communications team. Reporting to the Director, this position combines strategic fundraising leadership with handson portfolio management and people leadership. The successful candidate will oversee a robust major gifts and foundations program, directly manage highvalue donor relationships, and mentor a growing fundraising team. Acting as a key connector between programs and philanthropy, this role ensures donor engagement is grounded in authentic, compelling stories of impact. Key Responsibilities Donations & Foundations Portfolio Management Manage a portfolio of up to 75 major gift prospects and donors, securing contributions of $5,000+ through thoughtful cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship Expand and strengthen the major gifts and foundations pipeline through strategic prospecting and qualification Build strong progression pathways between midlevel and major giving portfolios Collaborate closely with program staff to develop tailored proposals, reports, and donorspecific impact narratives Strategic Fundraising Leadership Partner with the Director to refine and execute an integrated fundraising strategy aligned with organizational priorities Identify opportunities to diversify revenue streams and deepen donor engagement Establish and uphold best practices, policies, and procedures that ensure ethical and effective fundraising Champion awareness of food insecurity, equity, and social justice among donors, partners, and internal stakeholders Team Leadership & Development Serve as a member of the organizations leadership team, contributing to broader strategic objectives Lead, manage, and mentor two Development Officers, supporting performance, growth, and professional development Set clear goals, conduct regular checkins, and foster a collaborative, accountable, and highperforming team culture Data, Reporting & Compliance Oversee accurate and timely donor record management within the CRM (Virtuous), ensuring data integrity Analyze and report on fundraising performance to senior leadership and the Board Ensure all fundraising activity complies with CRA regulations and Imagine Canada standards Candidate Profile Demonstrated success securing major gifts of $5,000+ from individuals and foundations Minimum 3 years of progressive fundraising experience, including staff leadership and mentorship Strategic and analytical thinker with strong problemsolving and opportunityidentification skills Exceptional relationshipbuilder with persuasive written and verbal communication abilities Experience managing corporate and foundation partnerships Proficiency with fundraising CRMs and Microsoft Office Suite Strong commitment to antiracism, antioppression, ethical fundraising practices, and community wellbeing Solid knowledge of the Canadian charitable sector and regulatory environment Why This Role Stands Out Opportunity to lead a critical revenue stream within a respected, valuesdriven organization Meaningful work that directly supports community wellbeing and food justice Collaborative, missionaligned culture that prioritizes employee engagement and growth Unique workplace experience that includes shared chefprepared lunches, reinforcing community and connection Qualified candidates who are passionate about philanthropy, leadership, and social impact are encouraged to apply in confidence.
