The Work The Accounts Payable Administrator is required to perform accounts payable processing functions accurately and within tight deadlines. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service, with an emphasis on dealing with external vendors and internal employees. The Core Responsibilities! Manage vendor payments and execute cheques, electronic fund transfers and wire transfers on a timely basis. Ensure invoices are approved by appropriate employees in accordance with corporate procurement policies and procedures. Resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies. Resolve queries from vendors and business units. Process other payments, as required (i.e. dividends, subdebt, deposit notes, tax remittances, rent, and insurance premiums). Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying transactions and posting to appropriate accounts and cost centers. Provide backup for the Payroll Coordinator position to process employee expense reports, as required. Provide administrative support within the Finance group, including filing, archiving, SharePoint scanning, and other administrative duties, as required. Lets Talk About You! Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a computerized accounting environment, preferably in accounts payable. Intermediate to advanced work experience with Microsoft Excel. Currently hold or pursuing a college diploma majoring in accounting, or an accounting designation is preferred. Excellent time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to respond in a clear, concise and professional manner. Effective analytical and problemsolving skills.
