In this role you will support Site Deployment Test & Commissioning activities for an assigned project under the guidance of senior team members, assisting with test execution in line with established plans and procedures, and preparing problem reports to document any test failures or defects. Key Accountabilities Participate in the development of field test plans at System level Assist in performing field tests Assist in scheduling/planning testing activities to meet project milestones Assist in developing possession requests Prepare test reports recording the pass/fail status of planned tests and identifying problem reports generated during the tests Acquire product knowledge through active participation in formal and onthejob training, as well as selfstudy Prepare test reports upon completion of field test sessions Prepare problem reports in the defect tracking system describing test failures and defects Recognise anomalous system behaviour and document the behaviour into the problem tracking system Maintain test tracking database at end of test sessions Conduct initial review of test results incorporating analysis of collected data with observed system responses Communicate test observation and results in both oral and written media to other engineering staff, superiors and customers Adhere to the companys Processes and Work Instructions Note that this position requires significant night shift and weekend work on top of regular day shift duties Key Requirements Actively pursuing a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Hardware, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field. Completed at least 2 years of undergraduate courses. Fulltime availability (40hours/week), with flexibility to adapt to project timelines and collaborate with teams in Ottawa and globally. Onsite at the client trailer daily. May require occasional travel to project sites. Proficient with standard computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. Preferred Qualifications Coop student available for a 12month term, with at least one additional quarter or semester of coursework remaining after the completion of the internship. Previous coop/internship experience is a plus. Computer literacy using special application software such as problem tracking, requirement management and parsing software.
