About the Role Science Norths CampIns are an overnight science experience offered to classes between grades 4 to 12, running throughout May and June. Students participate in handson and engaging science activities, enjoy live science shows, and have the opportunity to spend the night at Science North, sleeping in our iconic Vale Cavern. As a CampIn Science Supervisor, youll play a key role in delivering the science programming for our overnight CampIn experiences and ensure that all participating students and teachers have an incredible experience. Youll work in the evenings to supervise the campins when they begin at 3:30 pm, until students go to sleep at midnight. What Youll Do: Support teachers when they arrive for campins and throughout their experience. Support participants during their CampIn experience, ensuring a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment. Assist in program setup, delivery, and teardown. Start and operate the Planetarium show and IMAX movie, including troubleshooting technical issues and safely shutting down all equipment. Manage dayof event logistics by troubleshooting unexpected issues and adjusting schedules in real time to ensure a smooth experience for guests despite changing needs or unforeseen obstacles. Oversee pizza dinner preparation, including heating, cutting, and boxing pizzas, and assist teachers with meal distribution to students. What Were Looking For: Someone who has a passion for science and education. Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Experience working with children or in an educational settings. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings between May and June. Experience in a supervisory role. French is an asset. Enthusiasm, energy, and a knack for making science fun! Why Join Us?
