Reporting to the Superintendent, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing coordination and support to various aspects of operations to ensure the efficient and profitable execution of the installation of underground utility infrastructure. Assist in the efficient scheduling of various work crews as required. Perform site previews / inspections as required in preparation for locate requests. Meet utilities on site, as required, to assist in accurate and timely locates. Assist in inventory management / control and related systems development. Coordinate / procure specialty materials / tooling. Assist in small / specialty tool inventory management / control / maintenance / certification. Conduct daily scanning of heavy equipment that is idle or down for repair. Create / monitor weekly equipment idling reports and correct misallocations. Review / summarize weekly equipment utilization reports and correct misallocations. Track / maintain area specific worker Training Matrix. Lead / direct maintenance for operational yard facilities. Assist in the development of annual pricing agreements from regular vendors. Assist in the acquisition of required safety / experience documentation from subcontractors. Ensure / track that quality and frequency of safety inspection / reporting is in compliance with Aecon Health & Safety and Environmental Manual. Review / track / summarize Quality Assurance non-conformances and ensure appropriate training and follow-up. Ensure the safe / organized status of materials and equipment in the outside yard areas. Receive, validate, off-load, handle, process related paperwork and securely stock incoming materials from vendors. Query, analyze and report on data from various systems to assist in operational efficiency. Generate reports, as necessary, as required by major customers. Provide deliveries of rush materials / tooling to crews as required. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required. What You Bring To The Team Be a champion of inclusion and diversity. Recent College Graduate Civil / Construction Technologist / Technician. Experience in the utility construction industry an asset. Strong computer skills MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project. Strong communication skills oral and written. Self-motivated with good organizational skills. Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines. Ability to work with others as a team. Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required. Be a champion of inclusion and diversity. The expected salary for this position is $60,000 $72,000. Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience and unique skills.
