Job Description The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), in partnership with the University of Saskatchewan, College of Medicine, Department of Surgery, is seeking a Pediatric Spine Surgeon to join a collaborative and highly specialized surgical team in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This unique opportunity provides tertiary and quaternary pediatric spine care for children and adolescents across Saskatchewan and neighboring provinces. Clinical services are primarily based at Jim Pattison Childrens Hospital (JPCH), Saskatchewans only tertiary pediatric facility, with additional responsibilities at Royal University Hospital (RUH), the provinces Level 1 trauma centre. Clinical Responsibilities Provide comprehensive assessment and surgical management of pediatric spinal conditions. Participate in inpatient and outpatient care including consultation and followup. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Participate in shared pediatric oncall coverage. Contribute to provincial outreach as required. Academic Responsibilities Appointment with the University of Saskatchewan, College of Medicine. Participation in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. Engagement in research and quality improvement initiatives. Additional incentives through the Saskatchewan Medical Association (SMA). Job Qualifications RCPSC certification (or eligible) in Surgery. Fellowship training in Pediatric Spine Surgery. Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS). Language of work: English.
