Position SummaryReporting to the Director of Operations, the Molding Technical Manager will provide directions to the technical staff and maintenance supervisors as well as provide technical leadership to ensure that Molding processes have the capability and reliability to meet performance requirements to enable the department to achieve its targets. This position is also responsible for food safety and quality procedures to ensure that the Companys objectives for food safety and quality meet or exceed customers and regulatory agencys requirements.Hiring Range- 130,000 - 160,00 base salary plus 15% annual bonus Key ResponsibilitiesInjection Molding & Process ExcellenceLead high-speed thin-wall injection molding operations (IML / non-IML)Optimize process parameters including fill speed, cooling, venting, and cycle timeTroubleshoot defects (short shots, warpage, burns, cosmetic issues)Apply scientific molding and process validation methodologiesTooling & Mold EngineeringOversee mold design and performance (hot runners, stack molds, multi-cavity tools)Manage tool qualification, maintenance strategies, and lifecycle planningCoordinate with external vendors and tooling suppliersDrive improvements in tool reliability and uptimeMaintenance & ReliabilityOwn maintenance strategy (preventive, predictive, corrective)Improve equipment reliability across presses, robotics, and auxiliary systemsLead CMMS utilization and data-driven decision makingDevelop maintenance team capabilitiesAutomation & TechnologySupport and optimize high-speed robotics and automation systemsOversee integration of vision systems and downstream automationEvaluate ROI on automation investments and improvementsEnsure compliance with safety standards and risk assessmentsContinuous ImprovementDrive improvements in OEE (uptime, performance, quality)Lead cost reduction, scrap reduction, and efficiency initiativesUtilize structured problem-solving methodologies (A3, DMAIC, 8D)Leadership & Cross-Functional CollaborationLead and develop technical, maintenance, and engineering teamsPartner with Operations, Quality, and Supply ChainProvide clear direction during downtime or production challengesBuild strong technical bench strength and succession plansSafety, Quality & ComplianceEnsure compliance with food safety (HACCP), cGMP, and regulatory standardsMaintain robust documentation and change management processesChampion a culture of safety and accountabilityQualifications & ExperiencePost-secondary education in Engineering, Business, or related fieldMinimum 10+ years of experience in high-volume manufacturing35+ years in a technical leadership roleStrong expertise in injection molding (thin-wall, high-speed preferred)Experience with automation, robotics, and tooling systemsProven track record in continuous improvement and operational performanceStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsWhat We OfferComprehensive health, dental and vision coverage (dependents included).Teamwork-focused culture with sustainability initiatives and social events.Opportunities for advancement and internal movement.Education assistance for continuous skill development.Academic scholarships for employees children.Safety equipment and PPE support program.Retirement savings and wellness initiatives.Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Work EnvironmentCombination of office and manufacturing floor environmentRegular exposure to a fast-paced, high-volume production setting.This job posting reflects existing vacancy.
