Our client is a highly regarded commercial general contractor specializing in commercial construction projects across Western Canada. With a reputation for operational excellence, strong safety culture, and consistent delivery, they are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead day-to-day site operations.This role is ideal for a hands-on construction leader who excels in field coordination, schedule execution, and subcontractor management, and who takes pride in delivering clean, safe, and well-organized job sites.Key ResponsibilitiesLead on-site construction activities from mobilization through project closeoutDevelop, manage, and maintain detailed project schedules and short-interval plansCoordinate and direct subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflowEnforce site safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirementsConduct daily site inspections to ensure quality, workmanship, and compliance with drawings and specificationsCollaborate closely with the Project Manager on schedule, cost, sequencing, and risk managementChair subcontractor coordination meetings and daily toolbox talksMonitor site progress and proactively resolve constructability and sequencing issuesMaintain accurate site documentation, including daily logs, inspections, and deficiency trackingLead project closeout, including deficiencies, turnover documentation, and final inspectionsRequired Qualifications2+ years of experience as a Superintendent (or Assistant Superintendent with senior-level responsibilities) in commercial constructionProven experience delivering new and/or tenant improvement projects (retail, office, multifamily, healthcare, etc)Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and field coordinationIn-depth knowledge of safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environmentAbility to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and schedulesStrong leadership presence with the ability to manage multiple trades and personalities on siteWhats OfferedOpportunity to work with a best-in-class commercial builderCompetitive compensation package, including salary, benefits, and vehicle allowanceStable project pipeline and long-term career opportunitySupportive leadership team with strong internal processes and systemsPlease apply if interested in exploring this role.
