Your Opportunity We have an immediate opportunity for an additional Ecosystems Team Lead in our dynamic Environmental Services team. Reporting to the Operations Lead, the Ecosystems Team Lead will be an integral part of the Business Centers leadership team, mentoring and growing a highly capable and motivated team while ensuring we provide results that go above and beyond client expectations. Accordingly, the successful candidate will work with the current Team Lead in the collective management and growth of the team. This position can be based at any of our office locations in Winnipeg, MB, Regina, SK, or Saskatoon, SK. Your Key Responsibilities - Comanaging the resourcing and development of the Ecosystems Environmental Services Team - Cosupervising junior staff and helping with career development - Cochairing regular team meetings and sharing information - Coleading in the creation of Stantecs safety culture within your team - Supporting the team to ensure they meet their respective utilization targets - Assisting in the development of quality SOPs - Encouraging a culture of innovation - Inspiring collaboration and crosstraining between disciplines - Attracting, growing, and retaining high quality staff - Coaching team members - Performing YearEnd Performance Reviews for team members - Collaborating and coordinating with other disciplines within the Environmental Services operating unit - Contributing to the ecosystems components of complex, multidisciplinary projects across a variety of sectors - Participating in and/or PMing project work - Participating in marketing / business development and/or proposal development Your Capabilities and Experience - Leadership experience and commitment to Stantec values including inclusion and diversity - Experience in or a solid understanding of the consulting industry in a multidisciplinary environment - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Experience in planning and executing projects with limited supervision - A valid drivers license and ability to travel as required to meet with members of your team who may reside outside your home location Education and Qualifications - Bachelors and/or masters degree in environmental or biological sciences - Minimum 8 years of direct experience in Ecosystems related work in a lead or supporting role Our typical office environment involves working with computers and remaining relatively sedentary. Stantec offers a flexible work arrangement for deskbased tasks including working from Stantec office locations, working from home, or a mix depending on the situation. Field work may include exposure to inclement weather, and travel through rough and remote terrain, while carrying equipment. Pay Transparency In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for parttime roles will be prorated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
