System Principal Program 1.0 FTE Expression Of Interest (EOI). The position will commence July 1st, 2026 and may be renewed annually for a maximum of four years, subject to funding availability. School closure at the current work location is a priority. Responsibilities Ministry & Board Reporting Complete all required Ministry and Board reports. Monitor and ensure alignment with Ministry deliverables, funding requirements, the AMDSB Strategic Plan and internal department goals. Staff Oversight & Development Hire, monitor, and support staff. Provide job-embedded professional learning and support staff in promoting student achievement and wellbeing. Collaboration & Communication Work crossdepartmentally to support learner student success. Collaborate and support colleagues. Liaise with System Principals, Superintendents of Education and communicate with families and community partners as needed. Other duties as assigned. Leadership and oversight for key portfolio areas: Assessment, Evaluation and Reporting, Early Years, Literacy, Mathematics, Indigenous Education and other elements of the K12 Curriculum. Collaborate with the K12 Program Leadership Team to build the efficacy and capacity of central team members. Collaborate with other System Principals to support coherent alignment and implementation of district priorities and goals. Support ongoing development of improvement and monitoring strategies related to district goals and priorities, with emphasis on literacy and mathematics. Support implementation and monitoring of ministry and board curriculum initiatives, including Ministry grant allocations. Support administrators with the implementation of EQAO and school learning plans. Collaborate with the Indigenous Education Lead and community partners to codevelop initiatives that centre Indigenous perspectives, knowledge, and ways of knowing. Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, grounded in the principles of reconciliation. Collaborate with schools, community partners, Ministry of Education staff and Union partners. Provide regular reporting to Senior Administration, Trustees, School Administrators and system staff as required. Coordinate and contribute to a range of committees/meetings. Required Qualifications Demonstrated success leading the instructional program in a schoolbased environment as a principal, resulting in improved literacy and math outcomes. Additional qualifications in Mathematics or extensive experience leading the instructional program in Mathematics. Demonstrated personal leadership skills of problemsolving, conflict resolution, organizational skills, and interpersonal and communication skills. Term: Position will commence July 1st, 2026, with a renewal review annually and may be renewed each year by mutual agreement.
