Event Captain REPORTS TO: EventManager / Event Coordinator ROLE: Assistant to Event Manager and Event Coordinator, third in command in department, to create memorable experiences with attentive service, product knowledge, fun and passion. Acts as shift leader with clients and staff. MEASUREMENT Ability to give guests a fantastic and memorable experience Knowledge of standards Ability to coach standards in a positive manor Ability to bring passion, creativity and desire to have fun to work Is fully trained on Event Managers role and responsibilities Able to take on Event Managers role due to illness or vacation Understands and practices all booking procedures Fully understands and follows all sales procedures CHARACTER Outgoing, positive and upbeat Pleasant and accommodating, willing to go the extra mile Sincere desire to please Friendly, enthusiastic, and engaging personality Understands sense of urgency and is able to maintain momentum Strong work ethic with flexible availability Calm and organized demeanour even under high pressure situations High level of self confidence Believes work can be fun COMPETENCIES Professional presentation and appearance standards Organization and planning Understanding of AV technology Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills Good physical condition, as this position requires constant walking, standing, bending and lifting RENUMERATION Hourly wage We believe that by taking care of our team members, we create a positive atmosphere that benefits both our employees and our guests.
