Salary Range The full pay range for this role is $85,800 $143,100 annually, and the goodfaith estimated starting pay for this position upon hire is $105,000 to $119,000 annually. We generally base our salary decisions on factors including but not limited to relevant work and leadership experience, education, demonstrated performance, internal equity, and in some cases geographic location. Scope of Job Tax Manager is a multidisciplinary position that requires the collection and analysis of data for compliance, reporting, and planning related projects. This position requires an ability to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail, analytical skills and strong communication skills are essential. Regular contact and collaboration with other groups is required, including but not limited to IT, FCPA, Accounting, Legal, and Project Finance. This position will be the point person for Canadian tax issues for the EDF Power Solutions North America Tax Department. Responsibilities Tax Compliance Prepares schedules and working papers to support tax preparation, estimated tax payments, and extensions and utility taxes. Prepares certain Canadian tax returns. Updates and maintains the thin capitalization model. Canada Green Tax Incentives Works with Development teams to analyze and understand the appropriate tax incentives for each project. Financial Reporting Gathers and analyzes financial information for reporting to internal and external stakeholders. Produces all SAP accounting system reports for use in the preparation of tax expense, taxes due, income tax returns, VAT, excise taxes and others. Ensures compliance with tax policies and procedures. Audit and Authorizations Analyses and appropriately responds to notices from taxing authorities throughout Canada. Manages all Canadian tax audits in different jurisdictions. Liaises with various external government agencies as required. Research Researches relevant topics as required. Other duties as assigned various special tax projects. Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or Data Analytics, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years relevant experience. Experience with Tableau, SAP and Avalara preferred. Skills and Knowledge Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products. Ability to interface with other departments collegially and professionally, representing the Tax Department in a positive light. Excellent analytical skills, motivation, and confidence to independently address issues. Strong written and oral communication. Ability to plan and organize work. Fluency in French language preferred. Physical Requirements Must be able to sit or stand at computer for a reasonable length of time typing and reading. Regularly required to walk or stand. Working Conditions 100% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
