Intent of the process The intent of this process is to create a pool of fully or partially qualified candidates. The pool may be used to staff identical or similar positions within Immigration and Refugee Board across Canada with various tenures, linguistic profiles and security requirements. Positions to be filled: TBC Information you must provide In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications) EDUCATION: A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.* * A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience. EXPERIENCE: EE1: Experience in supervising at least three (3) employees for a minimum of six consecutive months (For example: workload distribution, performance and employee relations management, approval of leave, career development, staffing requests, etc.) or experience in coaching* or in mentoring** to at least three (3) people. EE2: Experience in managing relationships with internal and/or external stakeholders. *Coaching is defined as a form of development in which an experienced person supports a learner or client in achieving a specific personal or professional goal by providing training and guidance. ** Mentoring is defined as providing guidance and support to shape the mentees career vision and/or help them address a work challenge. The following will be applied / assessed at a later date (essential for the job) C1: Showing Initiative and being action oriented C2: Demonstrating Integrity and Respect C3: Working effectively with others C4: Thinking things through AB1: Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally The following may be applied / assessed at a later date (may be needed for the job) AEdu: Graduation with a degree from a recognized postsecondary institution in any field relevant to the work to be performed. AE1: Experience working at the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada. AE2: Experience in leading working groups or teams to deliver a project or initiative. AE3: Experience providing concise written summaries, advice, guidance or recommendations to management. AE4: Experience working at quasijudicial tribunal, Court of law and/or in the Immigration field. AE5: Experience in supervising ten (10) or more employees for at least one full performance management cycle.
