GRAIN BUYER- Located in Toronto, Ontario BroadGrain Commodities Inc. ('BroadGrain') is a fast-growing global company trading and transporting grains, cereals, oilseeds, corn and by-products. We are poised for continual growth across all of our business units and are continually looking to add talented individuals to support our expansion. Education BroadGrain Commodities is growing rapidly and is in need of multiple Grain Buyers. As a member of BroadGrains Buying team, you will effectively purchase grain from our growers through programs that meet or exceed their pricing, transportation, storage, information and educational needs. You will achieve volume, growth and contribute to profitability. The perfect candidate will build and maintain strong relationships with the business and ensure the delivery of high quality and timely service to BroadGrain. Reporting directly to the Senior Grain Buyer, the successful candidate will fill the follows roles in the organization: Depending on the region you will be assigned to, you will purchase grain for delivery into BroadGrain facilities or FOB farms Provide market information and cash grain bids to farm and commercial while establishing a grain marketing plan for targeted customers Provide ongoing market information and feedback to traders and the grain merchandising group for the purpose of developing effective procurement plans Works to establish BroadGrain as the first choice in value-added grain marketing Organizes and plans group and individual grain marketing educational programs; this includes preparing and delivering presentations Provide customer service and act as one of the primary points of contact for customers Execute grain contracts from pricing to delivery Assist with resolving supplier issues and complaints Able to make farm calls Other Adhoc duties Qualifications Bachelors degree 3-5 years related agricultural and merchandising experience Effective written and verbal communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships If you are interested in working for a growing company, we would love to hear from you!
