About The Role This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing insightful financial analysis to support management and business decision-making. The position is responsible for monthend close activities, analyzing financial data, and driving improvements across core accounting processes. What You'll Do Maintain accounting records, including the preparation of monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and working papers. Support the monthend close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare the monthly reporting package, including variance analysis and cost analysis. Manage cashrelated activities, including bank reconciliations, monitoring bank transactions, and related reporting. Support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit working papers and responding to SOX and audit inquiries. Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, and internal control enhancements to streamline workflows and improve reporting accuracy. Prepare adhoc financial analysis and reports, interpret results, and communicate insights to stakeholders to support informed decisionmaking. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, with CPA designation or near completion preferred. 35 years of fullcycle accounting experience with strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar). Strong analytical, problemsolving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret financial data and draw meaningful conclusions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Highly organized, adaptable to change, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and timeliness. Selfmotivated and proactive, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly. Demonstrates professionalism, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information. Working Conditions Professional office environment. Hybrid work model: 3 days in office, 2 days remote. In accordance with Ontario's paytransparency requirements, this role offers an annual base salary range of $75,000 $90,000 per year, with the exact amount determined by candidate qualifications, relevant experience, internal equity, and geographic work location.
