BUS GARAGE - FLEET SUPERVISOR - FULL-TIME - REGULAR JobID: 2715 Position Type: Bussing and Transportation/ Bus Shop Foreman Date Posted: 4/2/2026 Date Available: 04/27/2026 Closing Date: 04/16/2026 Prairie Spirit School Division invites applications for a dynamic, energetic, and experienced Fleet Supervisor, commencing April 27th, 2026. Prairie Spirit School Division is the largest rural school division in Saskatchewan, with over 11,500 students and 45 schools located in 28 communities surrounding the city of Saskatoon, including three First Nations and nine Hutterian communities. Prairie Spirit has a dedicated team of professional and support staff serving Prekindergarten to Grade 12 students. The Fleet Supervisor is a member of the Transportation Team and assists the Transportation Manager with the supervision of garage staff responsible for the repair and maintenance of division owned fleet. Responsibilities Provide supervision of the work of the transportation mechanic staff on division fleet vehicles ensuring compliance with Transport Canada and SGI Commercial Carrier Regulations and the high standards set by the school division. Provide daily supervision for transportation mechanics and shop assistants, including prioritizing and scheduling the work assignments and on-call duties and approval of overtime and leaves of absence. Responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of all Prairie Spirit School Division Fleet Vehicles. Ensuring all buses are repaired and maintained at or above the standards set out by SGI Vehicles and Inspections regulations and guidelines. Qualifications Hold a valid Journeyperson certificate in Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or Truck & Transport Mechanic with experience in gasoline, diesel and propane fueled engines. Three to five years supervisor experience. Propane certification is considered an asset. Vehicle Safety Inspection Certificate is an asset. Prior management training and experience. Inventory management training and experience is considered an asset. Possess a valid Class 1-5 driver's license. Have or be willing to obtain an S endorsement.
