This role supports transportation planning and execution, contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborates with multiple stakeholders to drive efficiencies and service excellence. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, experience working with perishable goods and third party logistics partners, and a passion for solving complex transportation challenges.**Responsibilities:*** Lead and support transportation planning & execution processes.* Evaluate and recommend changes to drive carriers to honor contractual agreements and company expectations for consistent performance related to on-time delivery, claims, invoice accuracy, tender acceptance levels and communication.* Develop and implement route optimization tools to deliver recommendations for changes to the routing that will improve service and reduce costs.* Provide weekly/monthly analytics across all aspects of transportation allowing for quick decision making.* Work with cross functional groups in support of KPI improvement and customer compliance and share recommendations with related parties to resolve the issues.* Forecast volume and match the capacity to ensure smooth operation for our 3PL.* Identify various risks that can occur at the time of operation execution and establish alternatives to hedge them.* Understand problem areas and budget deviations in transportation by collecting and interpreting results to be able to communicate recommendations to management.* Coordinates the development, completion, and submission of responses to requests for proposal (RFPs) with minimum supervision and under strict deadlines.* Maintain and optimize the TMS routing guide across the network, including lane setup, carrier assignments, rates and business rules, to support process changes and system/ERP updates.* Ensure transportation policies and regulations are met.* Perform ad-hoc reporting, as required.**Requirements*** Bachelors degree in business management, supply chain & logistics or a related field* 5+ years of experience transportation and logistics analysis & planning* MUST HAVE experience with perishable goods and 3PL warehouse providers.* Microsoft Office expertise includes solid proficiency in Excel and Power BI* Strong Proficiency with ERP / TMS Applications (i.e., SAP or BY)* Good understanding of Regulatory Compliance* Impressive understanding of transportation modes, proficient in rate negotiations with the ability to implement effective cost-cutting initiatives to drive continuous improvement.* Building relationships and managing internal/external stakeholders through effective communication and engagement strategies* Project management and system implementation experience is an asset.**Rewards Package**The standard hiring range for this role is $78-$98K CAD per annum with a 10% performance-based bonus.
