Construction Manager AtkinsRalis is hiring an experienced Construction Manager to join our team in Ontario. This position requires a strong understanding of construction management principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams. The Construction Manager will be based on an exciting major Power Transmission project in Ontario. Responsibilities Manages the owner's oversight activities with respect to construction coordination and inspection. Works collaboratively with the contractor's construction management team to coordinate the delivery of the works. Manages the owner's construction management team including the Deputy Construction Manager and Construction Inspectors for the subprogram. Provides subject matter expertise with respect to construction management and general project delivery matters. Supports design management to confirm suitability for procurement and construction. Participates in constructability, scope management, and value engineering reviews during design. Oversees the contractor's construction activity to determine and report on whether program specifications are followed. Actively manages, monitors, and reports on the status of the project construction progress and schedule. Supports the commercial process as part of the contractor's application for payment and invoicing. Oversees the postconstruction process to facilitate handover to operations and conducts warranty reviews. Performs claims review and recommends steps to resolve claims. Coordinates with safety, quality, and inspection teams. Qualifications A minimum of 15 years of professional experience in construction management. Minimum 10 years of professional experience in large power transmission projects or equivalent infrastructure programs, including onsite experience working in highly regulated, complex operational environments. Demonstrated experience in managing teams to deliver complex projects and programs. Strong technical capability in all project phases, including design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance preferably large program/projects. Familiarity with working in collaborative project environments and a working knowledge and experience of progressive contracting models including Progressive Design Build and Target Price. Demonstrable experience in managing stakeholder relationships and providing reporting to enable effective decision making. Good stakeholder engagement and communication skills including the ability to facilitate meetings/workshops with groups of stakeholders. Recognized degree and professional designation in a relevant field considered an asset. Previous experience managing EPCM contract is a plus.
