If you are Dynamic, Motivated and Ready to live a unique opportunity, WE WANT YOU!Location: 10020 56 AveSchedule: Day shift Monday to Friday: 7:00AM to 3:30PMBenefitsModern and clean work environmentIndustry leading technology and toolsCompetitive salaryAttractive shift premiumsNew equipment and technology from variety of suppliers/dealershipsRRSP program with company matchAffordable health & dental benefit packageFree uniforms and laundry serviceTool and boots allowanceVacation time + 11 paid statutory holidays + paid sick daysTuition reimbursementEmployee Assistance ProgramComprehensive technical and professional trainingOpportunity for advancement throughout the companyPartners discountsMajor ResponsibilitiesPerform all levels of preventive maintenance servicesIdentify warrantable repairs and document on repair orderMaintain work area appearance and safetyRoad test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properlyPerform duties with little or no supervision and in a timely and efficient mannerUse hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoistsInspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating conditionPerform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machineryAdjust and replace brake, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipmentRaise trucks, buses, and heavy parts or equipment using hydraulic jacks or hoistsInspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, and pressure gaugesExamine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devicesInspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specificationsSpecialize in repairing and troubleshooting of major components such as engine, transmissions and differentials, to include replacing complete assemblies, turbochargers, fuel system components etcOther projects and tasks as assigned by supervisorQualifications5+ years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance requiredMust possess respective Provincial License such as Red Seal/310TMust maintain membership/registration with respective Government AgenciesCurrent driver's license class D or class 3 with air brake certification required or ability to obtain it within 6 months of being hiredProficiency in the use of all tools of trade (including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, hand and power tools) requiredBasic computer skills requiredAbility to work in non-climate controlled conditions requiredSpecialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training courses preferredRegular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the jobWillingness to travel as necessary within the district (customers yards, close geographical area and training sites), work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to employment reference checks.Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
