Language: English (written & spoken)Requirement: Must be comfortable working on active construction sitesAbout the OpportunityAltis Recruitment is partnering with a growing construction organization to hire a Health & Safety Coordinator with hands-on experience in the construction industry.This role is ideal for someone with 35 years of health & safety experience who has supported active job sites and understands the pace, compliance requirements, and realities of construction environments.Youll act as a key support to both field and operations teamsowning safety documentation, tracking compliance, and ensuring all safety processes are executed consistently across multiple sites.What Youll Be DoingCoordinate and maintain health & safety documentation across multiple construction sitesTrack training certifications, safety tickets, and compliance requirements (WHMIS, WSIB, etc.)Support new hire and subcontractor onboarding with safety documentationAssist with incident reporting, investigations, and WSIB claims documentationPrepare materials for Health & Safety meetings (agendas, minutes, action items)Conduct site visits to support compliance and ensure safety standards are being followedPartner with site supervisors and foremen to reinforce safety processesWhat Were Looking For35 years of Health & Safety experienceMandatory: Construction industry experienceStrong understanding of WSIB, WHMIS, and Ontario safety regulationsExperience supporting multiple job sites or field teamsHighly organized with strong follow-up skillsComfortable being on-site and interacting with field staff and leadershipWhy This RoleExposure to large-scale construction projects (commercial, institutional)Opportunity to grow into a Senior Coordinator or Advisor-level roleJoin a team that values accountability, safety, and practical executionNote from the Hiring Manager Were looking for someone whos dependable, confident, and genuinely interested in learning the business.
