The Role: As a Fixed Asset Cost Analyst, youll use your analytical strengths to help Honda of Canada Mfg. manage costs effectively and reach our profitability goals. In this role, youll review actual cost performance, support budgeting activities, and take the lead on monthend analysis. Youll also prepare clear, meaningful reports that give our leadership team the insights they need to make confident, datadriven decisions. You will play a key role in troubleshooting and problemsolving, with your contributions directly supporting our efficiency, profitability, and overall business success. The Pay: $39.87 / hour - $41.97/ hour plus over-time and bonuses.Responsibilities:Analyze and report on capital investment and depreciation activity, including budgettoactual variancesSupport monthend and yearend close processes, including capitalization, journal entries, and account reconciliationsMaintain and manage fixed asset records, including asset additions, transfers, disposals, and retirements Lead or support annual fixed asset audits, including physical asset verification and reportingAssist with budget, forecast, and longterm capital planning activitiesPrepare financial analysis and reporting to support management decisionmakingCollaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to support investment planning and asset accountingEnsure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and governance requirements (e.g., IFRS, GAAP, SOX as applicable)Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requiredRequirements:Completed post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, Economics, or related experienceAdvanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel; Use advanced functions, manage and format data Job Related Must Haves: Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally on short notice; valid Canadian Passport or B1 Visa for business travel Willing and able to work overtime (including weekends) on short noticeWilling and able to support productionWilling and able to support occasional 2nd and/or 3rd shiftsValid G/G2 drivers licenseWilling to work scheduled shutdowns as required Preferred Experience:Accounting experience within a Manufacturing environmentCompleted or in pursuit of recognized accounting designation (CPA)Demonstrated ability to analyze data and evaluate resultsAbility to collaborate and communicate with internal/ external stakeholders ensuring data accuracy and timely resultsKnowledgeable of both financial reporting standards (IFRS) & managerial accounting practicesDemonstrates initiative to investigate issues and challenge the status quoExcellent organizational and planning skillsAble to work both independently and as part of a teamExperience using ERP software (e.g., SAP), Power Bi and data analytics softwareAbility to apply a cost management mindset in decision making and daily operationsHonda of Canada Mfg.
