Harris Law is committed to advocating for clients and helping them move forward after life-changing incidents.Role DescriptionWe are seeking a Legal Assistant (Junior/Intermediate) for a full-time, predominantly in-office role in Kitchener, ON. The client-focused nature of our our work makes a true hybrid role impractical, but there will be opportunities to work from home when needed. As a Legal Assistant, you will support the your responsible lawyer's team with daily administrative and organizational tasks, assist in the preparation of legal documents, maintain communication with clients and professionals, and ensure the smooth operation of legal services. Your role will be pivotal in facilitating the delivery of exceptional legal assistance for personal injury cases.This is a fast paced, busy, and growing law office. We want to hire people that work well collaboratively, in a team environment, and want to grow with us.Qualifications2 years experience in Ontario civil litigation, or more, with a preference for personal injury and insurance law experienceKnowledge of legal procedures, including understanding of relevant laws and legal processesExperience in Legal Document Preparation and drafting legal correspondenceStrong Communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with clients, legal teams, and external specialistsAdministrative Assistance skills, including organizational skills, scheduling, and file managementExperience or training as a Legal AssistantProficiency with office tools and legal management softwareAttention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficientlyCertificate or diploma in Legal Administration or a related program is an assetExperience with Primafact, Microsoft Outlook, Soluno Legal, and Case Centre is an assetPlease direct your cover letter and C.V. to Miya Belair, Office Manager, at with a copy to Alicia Stuart () and Gord Harris ().We will only reach out to applicants that will be offered an interview.
